The report on the 2nd NANO-TEC workshop, written as deliverable for the EC, is now available here.
The NANO-TEC Forum is ready for use by all professionals of nanoelectronics. . Please register at the NANO-TEC website and start exchanging your ideas. If you have the registration details (i.e. following your participation to the first NANO-TEC workshop) , you can use your login data to access the forum immediately.
You will find the workshop programme here. The list of speakers can be found here. To download the programme, please click on this link. You will find a PDF of the programme at the bottum of the page.
The Workshop team
The overall strategy to build a community of academic researchers in Beyond CMOS is based on the use of workshops as an coordination instrument for both, the social aspects of community building, as far as reaching consensus and contributing to the tactical goal, and as a process to yield recommendations about meeting research needs and suggesting future directions of research in medium and long-term nanoelectronics. A condition sine qua non is the consensus needed to follow a particular methodology, which have to be agreed by the NANO-TEC consortium well before the workshop series starts.
The foundations for the European Technology Platform Nanoelectronics and routes for the consolidation of the research were laid in the Vision 2020 report by a high level group consisting of the main semiconductor companies, tool providers and end users in Europe at that time, together with the European Commission. This initiative evolved into the European Nanoelectronics Initiative Advisory Council (ENIAC).
