Envisioned target outcome for this workshop

  • Identification of a set of criteria for operation and performance against which the Beyond CMOS devices will be evaluated. The key issues are functionality, integrability and reproducibility.
  • Tentative set of candidates for future Beyond CMOS devices.
  • Mapping of the fabrication and production facilities in Europe for the potential non-CMOS devices.

The topics of the workshop will range from molecular electronics, through silicon-based electronics and
heterogeneous integration, all the way to spintronics and quantum information processing in the first instance. The preliminary workshop program can be found at the bottom of the page. It will address furture technologies like:

  • Carbon-based electronics (graphene, carbon nano-tubes)
  • Silicon-based electronics
  • Compound semiconductor-based electronics
  • Futuristic trends (including Molecular Electronics, Spintronics, Superconducting electronics and other futuristic electronics)

Each session is planned to include:

  • 1 plenary talk (25 minutes)
  • Discussion togehter with a nominated Discussant (25 mins)

Flights run daily between Granada Airport "Federico Garcia Lorca" and  Barcelona, Madrid, and Sevilla, although few international flights  connect directly Granada to other European cities. Granada airport is  located about 16 KM from the Parque de las Ciencias.
