Slides of the NANOTEC-Tutorial at ESSCIRC/ESSDERC available now

The NANO-TEC project has held a half day tutorial at the ESSDERC/ESSCIRC Conference in Bordeaux on Monday, September 17, 2012. This Tutorial has been on the ECOSYSTEMS TECHNOLOGY and DESIGN for NANOELECTRONICS in Europe and has presented the current outcome of the EU project NANOTEC.Bordeaux

The presentations of the NANOTEC ESSCIRC/ESSDERC
Tutorial are available here below
.

Content:

There were five different presentations starting from the general project presentation (objectives, methodology etc.) and continuing with the presentation of the outcome of NANOTEC Workshops on "Benchmarking for beyond CMOS devices" and "A swot analysis of beyond CMOS". Finally, two talks were presented on a  "Case study: The nanowire transistor" and a presentation on "Information processing paradigms of the post CMOS era: devices and architectures".

The Tutorial was a successful event for dissemination of the project output. The five presentations were distributed to participants and are currently available on the project web site.

Tutorial Aim:

This Tutorial has presented the outcome of the EU project NANOTEC. The project NANOTEC (Ecosystems Technology and Design for Nanoelectronics) is a support action funded by the European Commission under number 257964. The aim of NANO-TEC is to address the gap between technology and design in Nanoelectronics in the area of Beyond CMOS. Within the scope of NANOTEC, a number of workshops have been organized, where specific ‘Beyond CMOS’ device concepts were presented and discussed by experts in the field. Some categories of beyond CMOS devices were selected, that were benchmarked and a SWOT analysis was carried out. To this end NANOTEC carries out a continued consultation and analysis of research needs and trends based on a workshop series with invited experts from the Americas, Asia and Europe covering topics such as Beyond CMOS device concepts and design, benchmarking and a SWOT analysis of new devices. Progress made so far towards the stated aims will be presented in this tutorial by the different speakers.
