Bio and Interests:
Dr Panagiotis Dimitrakis graduated the Physics Department of the University of Athens (BSc 1995, MSc 1998) and received his PhD degree in the field of nanocrystal memories in 2006 from the School of Applied Mathematical and Physical Sciences of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He has been employed in 2 Greek Research projects PENED and 3 competitive EU projects. In addition, he has participated in 5 bilateral joint research projects as well as he was principal investigator in a project funded by European Space Agency (ESA). He joined for 3months LPCS/ENSERG (now IMEP/MINATEC) at Grenoble, France having a fellowship from the French embassy and has worked for a short-time visitor in many other European laboratories. He has published about 40 papers (h-index: 13) in international peer-reviewed journals and more than 40 papers in international conference proceeding volumes on the physics and the electrical characterization of submicron SOI MOSFET, novel FET devices, nanoparticle memories and organic electronic devices, Also he has published two book chapters in the field of nanoelectronic memories. He has organized several international conferences in Europe and USA and edited their proceedings. He is a Member of IEEE (Electron Devices Society) and Material Research Society (MRS) and reviewer in several international journals of AIP, Elsevier, IOP and IEEE. Currently he is with IMEL/NCSRD where he is responsible for the electrical characterization facilities and his research interests are focused in the field of photovoltaic devices, nanoparticle-based memories devices, novel memory devices in organic/inorganic semiconductors as well as the physics and characterization of nanowire transistors.
